Demand Harvey Norman implement publicly available procurement polices that rule out stocking Australian native forests and to clearly label their wood product's source of origin and certification.

TAKE ACTION

Who is Harvey Norman?

Harvey Norman is one of the dominant retail forces in Australia helping to drive the destruction of Aussie forests through its selling of native forest products as furniture and flooring at over 170 stores across the country.

Harvey Norman does not have a publicly available procurement policy that rules out selling wood products made from Aussie native forests, or a labelling policy that lets Aussie shoppers know if they are buying into forest destruction when they shop at Harvey Norman.

Harvey Norman should, as a matter of urgency, adopt publicly available procurement policies that ensure they stop contributing to native forest destruction and instead purchase wood products sourced from environmentally responsible managed plantations

What is your furniture really costing?

Save Aussie Jobs

Harvey Norman can save Aussie jobs with home grown, home made plantation furniture instead of buying furniture made in China using Aussie timber.

Save the Climate

Aussie native forests are important long-lived carbon stores. Harvey Norman can help save Aussie native forests by switching to environmentally responsible plantations for our wood needs, protecting native forests and the carbon they hold.

Save Aussie Wildlife

Aussie native forests are home to some of our most threatened animal species. Protecting their native forest homes will save Aussie wildlife and their forest habitat.
